Browser-local family workbench · $37 one-time

Turn a whole house into one calm 20-minute session.

Senior Move Sorter helps an adult child and parent agree on roles, sort one small area, record item decisions, and leave with the next action—without uploading private family details.

One-time purchase · browser app · 30-day refund window

Built, not promisedA working browser app with import, export, print, timer, filters, and room progress.
Private by defaultNo account, analytics, AI upload, or cloud sync. The plan stays in this browser.
Clear boundaryIt records family decisions; it never determines capacity, ownership, value, or legal rights.

The problem is not the label maker

Every object carries a decision—and every family member carries a different assumption.

Free checklists explain what to do. The hard part is agreeing who decides, what is still unresolved, and who owns the next action before energy runs out.

The parent feels managed

Efficiency can sound like “we have already decided for you.” The app begins with permission and the person's own non-negotiables.

Siblings stay invisible

One person does the work while everyone else comments later. Named roles and next-action owners make the handoff visible.

Undecided becomes a pile

The same item gets discussed in every session. A review flag records the missing authority or professional question without inventing an answer.

The recap lives in memory

After a long day, nobody remembers what was agreed. The app produces one printable, exportable record.

First win in under 15 minutes

Agree. Sort. Hand off.

You do not need to map the whole move before getting value. Set one room, one session length, and one decision rule.

STEP / 01

Agree before packing

Name the person moving, the coordinator, the session length, and the rules that keep consent and sensitive details visible.

STEP / 02

Sort one small area

Record keep, gift, sell, donate, digitize, dispose, or undecided. Pause disputed or high-consequence items.

STEP / 03

Leave one recap

Print or export decisions, the next action, and who owns it. Resume later from the same room progress.

Inside the app

A real coordination system, not a PDF in a browser tab.

Move plan
Person moving, coordinator, destination, move date, session length, consent rules.Uses first names or role labels; sensitive details are explicitly excluded.
Family roles
Coordinator, measurer, researcher, memory keeper, vendor contact, family reviewer.Roles are practical handoffs, not authority over the person moving.
Room sorter
Custom rooms, item decisions, owner, notes, filters, and progress by room.“Undecided” and “professional review” are valid states.
Session mode
10–60 minute timer plus a permission-first conversation agenda.Stops the marathon before fatigue starts making decisions.
Portable recap
Versioned JSON backup, spreadsheet-safe CSV, and large-print summary.Move the plan deliberately; no automatic cloud sync.

The honest alternatives

Use the smallest tool that fits the real problem.

If a free guide is enough, use it. Senior Move Sorter earns its price only when the family needs a shared execution layer.

The app stops here

A template cannot decide who owns the china.

Mark an item for professional review when authority or consequences are unclear.

  • No capacity assessment, care recommendation, diagnosis, or medical advice
  • No ownership, will, trust, estate, power-of-attorney, or legal decision
  • No appraisal, tax, financial-account, or hazardous-material advice
  • No promise of family harmony, faster completion, savings, or a particular outcome

Frequently asked questions

Why not use a free checklist?

Use one if all you need is information. Senior Move Sorter is for the coordination layer: item-level decisions, family roles, progress, unresolved questions, backups, and a shared recap.

Does our family data leave the device?

No. The app uses browser storage and has no account, analytics, cloud sync, AI upload, or data-entry endpoint. Exported files go only where you save them. Clearing browser data can erase the plan, so export a backup.

Can this help if siblings disagree?

It can show each decision, owner, and unresolved question in one place. It cannot mediate a dispute, determine authority, or promise agreement.

Can it tell us what an item is worth or who owns it?

No. Mark the item for professional review and use an appraiser, lawyer, estate representative, tax professional, or other qualified person as appropriate.

Do we need to finish setup before sorting?

No. Enter one room, one coordinator, and a short session. Add roles and other rooms as they become useful.

What if it is not right for us?

Email [email protected] within 30 days of purchase to request a refund. This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable law.
